Admission Requirements
UTME Candidates

Must have sat for the 2026 UTME and selected PUMS as their first choice.

Must have five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language, Mathematics) in no more than two sittings.

Must score 170 and above in UTME for most programmes; Medicine & Surgery requires 200 and above.

O’Level results must be uploaded on JAMB CAPS.
Note: Candidates who did not choose PUMS as their first choice must apply for a Change of Institution via the JAMB portal to participate in the screening.
Candidates awaiting SSCE results may apply but must upload results at least two days before screening.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

Must have five (5) O’Level credit passes.

Must possess two (2) A’Level passes or an equivalent qualification in relevant subjects.

Candidates applying for MBBS must have three (3) A’Level passes in relevant subjects or a first degree in a related field not below Second Class Lower.
Inter-University Transfer

Candidates must obtain a Transfer Form from PUMS endorsed by their current university.

Submit form with all relevant documents and sessional transcripts.

All processes must be completed on JAMB CAPS.
