OYES which means Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme was a brainchild of the former governor of the Osun State Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. He is now the Minister of Interior.

This is to inform the general public and interested applicants that the Osun State Government has opened the applications for the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (O-YES).
Parents, teachers, and guardians should inform their youths to obtain the form FREE directly from the official portal.
OYES Physical Screening and Selection Update
Dear All
Do you know of anyone who applied for the OYES RECRUITMENT? Please inform them to report at their LOCAL GOVERNMENT SECRETARIAT on Wednesday 6th July 2022 at 8am for DOCUMENTATION.
2. They are to come with :
a. A photocopy of their OYES APPLICATION FORM and
b. Any form of Identification.
3. They are to be punctual and orderly as they come.

Background of O-YES in State
Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme is a revolving 2-year volunteer scheme introduced by the government of Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola in December 2010 in fulfillment of his campaign promises to engage 20,000 Osun youths within the first 100 days of his administration.
The OYES scheme has engaged more than 60,000 youths since its inception.

The OYES volunteers upon completion of training are divided into different deployments such as:
Public Works Brigade,
Green Gang,
Farmers Brigade,
Sheriff Guard,
Traffic Marshall,
Paramedics,
Sanitation Czar, and
Teachers Corp and
… are thereafter deployed to productive services in these identified areas of our socio-economic life.
O-YES Application Requirements and Eligibility
Prospective applicants for the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme should fulfill the following conditions.
Applicants must be indigenes of Osun State
Applicants must possess (at the point of screening, valid evidence of Osun State origin
Applicants must be the age range of 18 years to 35 years
Applicants must possess any of SSCE, NCE, OND, Health Certificate, HND, BSC, or MSC

Signup by filling out the basic form to create your profile
A confirmation link will be sent to your email. Log in to your email and click the link to activate your application form
Fill out the form, upload your passport photo and submit your application
Candidates should use functioning email and phone numbers. They will need them during shortlisting and screening
After O-YES Application, What Next?
Once you successfully fill out your online application, you should be able to print an acknowledgment slip that will contain your own unique application/form number. Print and keep this safe.
In no distant future, the support team will release the list of successful applicants. This will include that who have education requirements and who are within the age bracket.
These successful applicants will be required to go to their individual local government secretariat for the physical screening. The screening will require applicants to come with their birth certificate or age declaration affidavit, local government identification, primary school leaving certificate/testimonial, and other highest qualification certificate/results claimed
After clearance during the physical screening, the final list will be out and candidates will be invited for training.
Cadets will be paid during the training and henceforth.
OYES vs N-power
Federal Government took the OYES scheme template in 2015 to design its N-Power job programme which had temporarily engaged up to 1,000,000 Nigerian youths under its graduate scheme and thousands of others under the non-graduate programme.
