UMYU Direct Entry Admission List for 2026/2027
The management of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina has officially released the Direct Entry (DE) admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Candidates who applied for Direct Entry admission into various first-degree programmes of the university can now check their admission status online.

The announcement was made by the authority of the university, confirming that the names of candidates offered provisional admission have been published on the school’s portal.

Important Notice to Admitted Candidates
All successfully admitted candidates are advised to upload their O’Level results on the portal of the
Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
through any JAMB office or accredited CBT centre.
This is compulsory for further processing of the admission.
Candidates who were offered courses different from what they originally applied for are also advised to visit any JAMB office or accredited CBT centre to apply for a change of course.

Acceptance of Admission
All candidates offered admission are expected to accept their admission on the university portal as from Monday, 18 July 2026.
In addition, candidates must also process their admission on the JAMB CAPS portal.
What Admitted Candidates Should Do Next
Successfully admitted candidates are advised to:

Log in to their JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and ACCEPT or REJECT the admission.

Print their JAMB Admission Letter after accepting the offer.

Print their original JAMB result slip (with passport photograph).

Apply for a change of course on the JAMB portal if they were offered a different course.

Regularly monitor both the JAMB portal and the UMYU website for updates.
Candidates whose admission status is showing “Admission Still in Progress” or “Not Admitted” should note that admission is still ongoing and their status may change at any time.
