DCNS offers the following nursing/midwifery programmes:

Basic Nursing
Community Nursing
Basic Midwifery
Community Midwifery

These programmes prepare students to meet healthcare needs at individual, family, community, and hospital levels.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission into the nursing and midwifery programmes at DCNS, candidates must have:

✅ Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) or equivalent
✅ At least five (5) credit passes including:

English Language
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
Biology
(in not more than two sittings)

Additional institutional requirements may be specified by the college, including health, character, and interview assessments.

For community nursing and community midwifery, the same credit requirements apply.

Programme Duration

Basic and Community Nursing: approximately 3 years
Basic and Community Midwifery: approximately 3 years

Qualified graduates from these programmes are equipped to become Registered Nurses (RN) or Registered Midwives (RM) upon successful completion and council registration.
