Egbewole emerges new UNILORIN VC

The University of Ilorin Governing Council has named Prof Wahab Egbewole (SAN) the new Vice Chancellor of the university.

Egbewole becomes the 12th Vice Chancellor of the university and will take over from Prof Sulyman Abdulkareem whose tenure will expire on October 15, 2022.

The Chairman of the university’s Governing Council, Abidu Yasid, announced this at a press conference held at the university’s Council Chamber on Thursday.

Yasid said Egbewole emerged after the rigorous screening of 13 professors in the last four days.

Egbewole is a Professor of International Law and Jurisprudence and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
