GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR DEGREE PROGRAMME
This admission is open to candidates who sat for the UTME in the 2020/2021 session and scored a minimum of 160, as well as candidates who sat for the Post-UTME in the 2021/2022 session and scored a minimum of 120.
Candidates who did not choose UAES as their first-choice university but scored the required cut-off mark can also apply, provided they visit the JAMB website to change their institution.
All candidates must have five (5) O-level credits in relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings. Candidates waiting for O-level results can also apply, but they will not be considered for admission until their results are available.
HOW TO APPLY (UAES)
- Visit the university website at: www.uaes.edu.ng and click on admissions on the top menu of the homepage
- You will be directed to the admission section of the portal, under 2022/2023 Post UTME/Direct Entry Application. Click on “click here to apply”
- Signup with your JAMB registration number, email, phone number and password
- Verify your email from your email account and return to the portal to pay the application fee of N2000
- Pay with your card online or generate the reference number and go to any bank branch of your choice to pay physically at the bank, and then come back to continue with your application.
- If you make the payment successfully, you would be asked to click to continue your application and at this point, you will access the application form
- Fill the form completely and correctly and then click submit at the bottom of the form.
- If you were unable to complete your application for any reason,
- you can always come back to the admission portal at: https://admissions.uaes.edu.ng to login to your account and complete your application before the closing date
- After submitting your application form, print the acknowledgement slip and come with it to the university on the Post UTME/Direct Entry screening day to be announced by the university subsequently

What is the UAES Post-UTME/DE cut-off mark for the 2026 academic session?
The general JAMB UTME cut-off mark required for UAES admission consideration is around 140 or above for the 2026 session.
This is the minimum score you must have in the 2026 UTME to be eligible for the Post-UTME/DE screening.
Note: Some reports show the 2025/2026 UTME cut-off as 150 for UAES, though sources vary slightly on this point.
Who is eligible to register for UAES Post-UTME/DE screening?
To be eligible, you must:
- Have a minimum UTME score meeting the UAES cut-off (generally ~140+).
- Have chosen UAES as your first choice institution in the JAMB application (or effect a Change of Institution to UAES via JAMB CAPS before registration closes).
- Possess five (5) credit passes in your O’Level results (WAEC/NECO) in relevant subjects, at not more than two sittings. Awaiting result status may apply but final admission depends on result upload.
- Direct Entry (DE) candidates should have relevant qualifications (e.g., ND/HND/A-Level/IJMB) appropriate for their programme.
How do I register for the UAES Post-UTME/DE screening?
To register:
- Visit the official UAES admissions portal (e.g., portal.uaes.edu.ng / students/newapplicant).
- Select 2026 UTME or Direct Entry Admission Screening.
- Enter your JAMB registration number.
- Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number.
- Pay the screening fee (commonly around ₦2,000).
- Complete and submit the application form.
- Print your acknowledgement slip for record.
Use a valid GSM number and email you can access easily for updates during the process.
Can I apply if UAES was not my first choice?
Yes — you can still apply for UAES Post-UTME/DE if UAES wasn’t your first choice, but only after you effect a Change of Institution/Course to UAES in your JAMB CAPS profile before the portal closes.
If the JAMB CAPS change deadline passes before you switch, you may not be eligible to complete the screening registration.
When should I upload my O’Level/Direct Entry results for UAES admission?
All O’Level and Direct Entry results must be uploaded to the JAMB CAPS portal before or during the screening period.
If results are not uploaded to JAMB CAPS, your Post-UTME/DE application will not be processed, and you won’t be considered for admission.
