What Does Osun State Polytechnic (IREE POLY) Stand for?

The Osun State Polytechnic fondly known as IREE POLY is a Nigerian university and tertiary institution founded in IREE, Osun state.

Osun State Polytechnic, Iree (OSPOLY) is a tertiary learning institution in Iree, Osun State. The Polytechnic was formerly a satellite campus of The Polytechnic, Ibadan. It became autonomous on 12 October 1992 when the Governor of Osun State, Alhaji, Isiaka Adeleke, signed the law establishing the institution alongside The Osun State College of Technology located at Esa-Oke in Osun State.

The Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY) cut-off mark — The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has approved the minimum score requirements for admission to universities, polytechnics, and other tertiary institutions in the country. 140 has been authorised as the minimal benchmark for admissions into universities for the 2022/2023 academic year, while 100 has been approved for polytechnics and colleges of education.

According to JAMB, each institution is free to set its own cut-off mark of up to 200, but no one is permitted to go below the agreed-upon minimum marks. This institution is yet to announce its desired cut-off mark for the 2022/2023 session.

The Osun State Polytechnic (IREE POLY) cut-off mark is 120. The Osun State Polytechnic (IREE POLY) post-UTME screening process is open to any UTME applicant with a score of 120 or higher.

No!

You cannot acquire the Osun State Polytechnic (IREE POLY) post-UTME Form if your JAMB score is below 120.

My score was above 120; why was I not admitted?

Suppose you meet the Osun State Polytechnic (IREE POLY) cut off mark for JAMB.

In that case, you will not be automatically admitted to the University until a successful internal screening exercise is completed before the candidate is officially accepted.

Add up the scores

To calculate his aggregate score, we divide his JAMB score, which is 331, by 8 to give 41.375, while his Post UTME score will also be divided by 2 (89/2) to give 44.5.

Then we add Musa’s scores of 41.375 and 44.5 to give 85.875, which means he will gain admission into Civil Engineering at the Osun State Polytechnic (IREE POLY).
