Studying sociology at UNIOSUN can be an exciting and enriching experience. However, there are certain requirements that students must meet in order to pursue a degree in sociology.

Academic Qualifications

To be considered for admission into UNIOSUN’s sociology program, candidates must possess certain academic qualifications. These qualifications typically include:

1. O’Level Requirements: Candidates should have a minimum of five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in the O’Level Examinations ( West African Examination Council (WAEC), National Examination Council (NECO), or General Certificate of Education (GCE)).

2. A’Level Requirements: Candidates should have a minimum of two (2) A’Level passes in relevant subjects, such as Sociology, Government, or Anthropology.

3. JAMB Requirements: Candidates seeking admission into UNIOSUN through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) must satisfy the cut-off mark determined by the institution.

4. Post-JAMB Requirements: Candidates who meet the cut-off mark in the JAMB examination may be invited to undergo further screening exercises, such as a written examination or interviews.

General Requirements

In addition to the academic qualifications above, applicants must also meet the general requirements for admission into UNIOSUN. These requirements include:
